why am I posting?

I hope, as with all experiences, in this case a devastating atrocity, that we are paying attention. Our country has been under attack before, remember 911, and at that time, we all united. I have no idea how the everyday politics were playing out in Ukraine, but what is so astonishing is their strength and determination to fight for their country. I hope that the United States can pause and realize that, at the end of the day, we all love the place we come from. As we watch the remarkable people of Ukraine pull together and fight for what they love, I hope we realize that it doesn't take a threat to our everyday reality to be grateful for all that is really good around us and work together instead of against one another to keep our country the place we all love.

What cannot be cured, must be endured.  In Michigan that means the weather.  Get outside, trust me, it does make it better.

Instead of texting, meet up with a friend.  If that's not possible, make a phone call.  Voices are amazingly comforting.
